Friends of In The Crosshairs and Crosshairs Radio, Arley Kemmerer and Rachel Rubino, have a new team and a new teammate and we couldn’t be more happy for them. Kemmerer and Rubino will be joined by Taryn Mudge and will race for Fearless Femme Racing. As great as it is for Kemmerer, Rubino and Mudge, it’s also exciting to see Fearless Femme Racing, an elite road and crit racing team enter the world of cyclocross. For the past several years, In The Crosshairs has made the trip to Nevada to cover CrossVegas. For this year we are upping the ante by not only covering CrossVegas but expanding that coverage to include Trek CXC Cup and JingleCross. Video, photos, podcasts, and articles will all be a part of our expanded coverage that will include rider interviews, many looks behind-the-scenes, and daily entries to give you the inside scoop on what this crazy week of U.S. racing looks like. USA Cycling announced the 31 athletes that will represent the United States at the 2016 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships which are slated for Jan. 30-31 in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.
Fifteen of the 31 spots were filled through automatic selection criteria, including the five spots earned by 2015 continental champions.

Elle Anderson is launching her own cyclocross program for the 2015-16 campaign with the support of SRAM and Strava, as well as racing for USA Cycling in select European races. Last year, Anderson raced the full 2014-15 European cyclocross circuit for the Belgian-based Kalas-NNOF cyclocross team. She gained valuable experience racing against the best in the world, but this offseason she realized that she needed some extra time to recover, and therefore will not start racing this year until November. The 2016 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships will see the introduction of a new category for women riders: Women Under 23 (see article 5.1.002 of the UCI Cyclo-cross Regulations). Athletes aged from 17 to 22 will be eligible to race in this new category, which is abbreviated to WU. Women aged 23 or more will compete in the Women Elite category.
