USA Cycling announced Monday a seven-event Cyclo-Cross National Calendar (CXNC), which will run from September to December in seven different states nationwide. The CXNC series should not be confused with the UCI-level Pro Cyclo-Cross Calendar (PRO CX).
According to USA Cycling’s CycloCross National Calendar page, the purpose of the CXNC is to “recognize top domestic events and provide them with the opportunity to achieve UCI recognition.” Those races that seek UCI inscription and inclusion on the USA Cycling Pro Cyclo-cross Calendar must first be part of the CXNC for at least one year, according to USA Cycling.
Among the requirements for inclusion on the CXNC is an elite cash purse, as well as the agreement to submit race results to USA Cycling within 24 hours for proper rankings calculation.
