USA Cycling Names 2019 MTB World Championship Team

USA Cycling, today, announced the teams for the 2019 MTB DH and XCO World Championships, which will take place the last week in August in Mont-Ste-Anne.

I still can’t wrap my head around why USAC doesn’t field the maximum start positions allocated?
Level 2 Funding really only means ‘self-supported’ as far I can understand from the USAC selection procedure doc.. I feel like USAC is doing itself a disservice by not allowing riders who have petitioned to participate in these events. IMO it would only help grow the sport by sending as many riders as we can, medal capable or not… If everything was paid for by USAC, I could understand the lack of budget, but this isn’t the case
Bit of a déja-vu after the Cyclocross selection for the U23 women this past winter.
